Tell us your proposal story

Wyat had planned a trip up to the mountains and took a detour on our way out to my favourite spot, the pier at Rochon Sands. I was confused, but he assured me that he just wanted to start the trip out the right way. I was getting swarmed by flying ants so I asked Wyat if he was ready to go. He replied “Not yet.” and then got down on one knee! I was so in shock, that I didn’t even remember his speech! He had to repeat it to me once we were back in the vehicle.

How we met

We met online back in 2018, but we didn’t end up together right then.

Did you know you would end up together or was it a happy surprise?

We both agree it was 'love at first sight'. As soon as we met, we knew! Wyat eventually told me that when he got into his car after our first date he thought to himself “I’m going to marry this girl!” and funny enough, I texted my mom and best friend after that first date and said “I’m going to marry this one!”.

Favourite part of your relationship?

Everything! We work so well together and are each other's best friends. Whatever’s thrown our way we’re either laughing or crying through it together.

What do you look forward to for the rest of your life together?

We’re excited to start a family of our own and to just simply enjoy every day together.

Why did he or you choose the ring you did?

He got me to pick out the design of the ring I liked, and Lawlor had just what we were both looking for!

From Wyat, he is originally from Stettler, so he knows all the great local stores!
