Tell us your proposal story

We were out for dinner to celebrate Braden’s birthday with a few of our best friends. He went to the washroom and got iced when he got back, so he went down on his knee, slammed the ice incredibly fast and then said “While I’m down here”... I completely froze. Mouth full of food while he gave the sweetest speech and popped the question. I said yes with my mouth still full and was completely in shock until the next day!

How we met

We went to school together, so we’ve known each other for quite a long time, but weren’t friends in high school. Many years later we bumped into each other out one night, I got his number and I’ve been annoying him ever since lol!

Did you know you would end up together or was it a happy surprise?

I never would’ve pictured us ending up together and he would agree, it was very random.

Favorite part of your relationship?

My favorite part of our relationship is how he pushes me to be my best self every day. We are both so easy going and always down for a laugh, which makes loving him pretty easy. And becoming parents together has only made our love grow that much stronger!

Short or long engagement?

We got engaged January 26th and we are getting married this New Year’s Eve! So not quite a year-long engagement.

The ring is absolutely stunning! I could not have picked a more perfect design myself.. The cut is gorgeous!

How did you hear about Lawlor Jewelry?

I’ve lived in Stettler all my life and Lawlor Jewelry has always been the go-to jewelry store in town. Amazing family and service. My brother Evan has been friends with Mike since they were in high so I’ve known the Lawlor family for quite a long time and always hoped my future fiancé would go through Mike and Lawlor Jewelry for the perfect ring!
